District 9 - I was unimpressed. Good visual effects but lacked a consistent way of filming the story. 5/10. Spoiler: I really expected a stronger story line... but the movie reminded me of something my high school English teachers used to say about my essays, "Lots of ideas here, great potential, but no over all focus."
I changed my mind. 10/10. I just watched it again and what I first thought was a haphazard film, was just a lacking of Hollywood's forced conversations. Even good Hollywood movies, I know the conversations feel really staged and fake. This movie, the characters said things that were slightly wrong, or not in the best way. It actually made the movie more interesting to watch the second time around.
