Intrinsic good and bad
When I was a child, I didn't care how my hair looked. As I grew older, people started to criticize it and tell me that girls will only like certain styles. Today, I'm afraid of leaving the house with messy hair. I read articles online saying there is nothing wrong with my hair. And yet, there are people who say there is something wrong with it.
In my efforts to detach from this year, I've realized the problem - I believe that there may be an intrinsic good and bad. Perhaps it's not good to walk out of the house with messy hair. Perhaps if I learn to like my hair regardless of how it looks, I will fail at life - survival of the fittest will give the girls to the hot guys, and I'll be alone. Or maybe I'll meet someone who is dumb and doesn't realize my hair is bad. Who would want her?
I need to be shown that there is no intrinsic good and bad in this area. Should I live life thinking my hair is fine however it looks, or should I take the time to get a nice haircut because certain styles are simply bad?
