No, JetBlue had the plane out of LA that couldn't retract it's nose gear (with it turned 90% in one direction), and orbited LAX until they'd burned off enough fuel to make a safe landing, which they did. The best part was that the passengers watched the whole thing live from the DirecTV consoles in the seats in front of them.
JetBlue just doesn't go that many places I want to go from here, and I've got tons of miles with United. This offer definitely has a hit of geographical desirability to it.
