I tihnk it depends on your favourite genre. My Top Five is mostly older, because I worshipped BlackIsle.

1. Fallout 2
2. PlaneScape Torment
3. Baldur's Gate 2
4. X-com UFO Defense
5. Neverworld? That clay-animation puzzle game. Damn that was the best puzzle advernture game evar.
6. Split between HOMM2, Mechwarrior 2, Unreal Tournament, Far Cry and Gears of War 2, KOTOR 2

FPS is currently going through a Golden Age. I gamed mostly through the Turn-based and D&D golden age. The nostalgia factor heavily biases me in favour of those games, although I've possibly spent more gaming hours on more recent games like GOW2, Soul Calibur 4, Halo3 etc.
