But it ended on a cliffhanger!!! Also, Daniel Knauf had the whole thing planned out from the very beginning for 6 seasons. The mythology was already decided on, as were the character arcs. That tends to make for
excellent television, and is sadly very rare. He'd like to at least finish the story through graphic novels, but HBO are being assholes and refuse to release the rights... as if they're doing anything with it.
