I don't see how that was your point at all - you called into question the competency of the doctor and then blamed all this on his/her supposed error.
How can you say the doctor did not investigate for some other related underlying medical condition? Were you there? Are you a doctor?
Without claiming some misconduct from the doctor, you cannot reasonably call this situation his/her failure.
