I have not seen a final plan from Congress yet, I am saying what I would want. Under Medicare a person can purchase medigap policies to supplement medicare. If we had a system like that, I could support it. My biggest problem with "single payer" would be not having a choice. Also, under Medicare doctors can opt in or opt out.

It is not a bad thing. However, if it is "free", people will take it for granted and be wasteful with it.
