I think the answer is simpler than most here are making it.
It's simply a matter of newness.
Vibrators were sleazy 30 years ago.
Now that it's permeated society and is in wide use, no one thinks twice about it.
IF it takes off (I'm not convinced it will) it'll be just as normal as using your hand in 30 more years.
