I do have to say I like their ad campaign a lot. Very clever, and it's damn remarkable that I find an ad campaign that I like by Microsoft. I think it's the first time.
Nevertheless, for me, web browsing is a thing of habit. It'd be hard for me to try out a new search engine, especially when google already finds virtually everything I'm looking for.
This reminds of Cuil, a rival search engine that was launched by one of Google's former employees, I believe. I checked it out once, and went straight back to Google.
Web habits are hard to break, and google was extremely efficient in making its search engine almost indispensable for everyone's browsing.
