Moon - 7.5/10
Excellent work by Sam Rockwell. He played his role(s) to a perfect pitch. You could even tell the differences in his posture. The story was uncomplicated to the point where you wondered why you were sitting through such a docile movie for such a simple tale. I definitely wanted more complexity. I wanted more attention to detail... I realize the budget wasn't too big, but how can they shoot a movie "on" the moon without paying SOME attention to gravity. I wanted all of the little kinks that I noticed in the beginning to come back in the end. Oh well. Still a good movie, but it leaves you feeling like it could have been a lot more. Also, Clint Mansell was a promising soundtrack composer when Pi came out, but now he seems very formulaic. Just like Requiem for a Dream; pick a ditty and repeat it over and over at different complexities.
