I recently loaded The Neverending Story onto my iPod. I hadn't seen that film since the '80s on VHS. As soon as I heard the opening bars of that theme song with the backdrop of those fantastical rolling clouds, it was like, as you imply, a drug.
You're right. We should do more of this. I'll have to look into DVDs of the Muppet Show. Looney Tunes would be good for me as well, as would be The Mighty Hercules series.
