I have no idea, I have changed my diet so many times (you know, after 7 don't eat this, don't drink that) no of it seems to matter.
As far as hormones go, I would have hoped that by now they would have straightened themselves out, it's only been like 20 something odd years.
And I don't do anything in my bed but try to sleep - I read somewhere that if you do stuff like read or watch TV, it un-trains your body that the bed is for sleeping.
I have found a few things that work for me, sometimes, like it used to be music, then it was trying to clear my mind (focusing on one sound, like a clock ticking), then it was not trying to sleep until I thought I could pass out. No matter what it was, it always takes hours for me to fall asleep.
I am pretty much used to it now, which I am sure isn't helping, I just kinda wish I had something to do while I'm up, I feel like I'm wasting so much time.
