Anyone used those plastic 4x4 posts?
I am in need of replacing my mailbox AND post, so I went looking at Lowe's yesterday and found that standard Step 2 plastic model everyone around me has (no need for anything fancy) and while looking at the 4x4 posts for mounting I noticed that Rubbermaid makes a plastic one.
I think this could be a great idea since it isn't going to rot or rust. A good portion of it is going to be buried and the other half is covered by the mailbox support, I am thinking good things about this plastic post.
I am just curious if anyone has any experience with them or did I just get excited and ripped off over nothing?
