I would contend that a bathroom should have a bath in it.

The more usual words (in England) are Lavatory, Toilet, Loo. Other words like Shitter, Bog, Can, and so on are descriptive and good.


On a side note, a country in which there are generally hardly any feet used in the game of Football doesn't shock me when it calls a room with no bath in it a bathroom.

And before you mention it, I do realise that Lavatory, comes from the latin Lavare and therefore means "Washroom", but I excuse this because anyone who doesn't wash after they shit is really, really gross.
