Man, I'm trying to tackle learning most of the prominent Romantic Languages right now; it's really slow-going, as my Spanish is rusty, my French is Anglicized, and my Portuguese and Italian are derived from me thinking in Spanish/English first, so it's fraught with subject/verb misplacement.
And those insufferable conjugations! I might never get to Japanese, but for those that took Latin in practice, the enunciation of the language is very similar, save for the sometimes silent "U"s and extra "O"s.
