i was watching home movies and they had a thing about clipping coupons. Jason had a coupon box, and it reminded me of my dad, who used to clip coupons and have a coupon box. this got me thinking.....

in the past, many many many years ago, when i was young and poor and had a wife a kid, we clipped coupons and managed to save a significant amount of money. we eventually stopped as we got financially better off and didn't need the things they had coupons for.

so seeing the episode about coupons, i thought about clipping coupons, maybe even getting a pimped out coupon box to wow the people in the supermarket with. "look at that guy, he is serious! he must be a professional coupon clipper!"

so i went through the sunday newspaper looking at all the coupons they have. it turns out i don't use any of stuff they have coupons for. they don't have coupons for fresh fruit or vegetables. and now they have like $1 off on TWO boxes of this, $1 off on any THREE bags of that. i guess if i used the products it would be worth it, but i don't.

does anyone clip coupons? do you know how much you save when you shop?
