Squeeeb: You've been just racking up the respect points in the past couple days with your threads on what you're not comfortable posting, etc. Very mature.
That being said...this thread.
Many words have more than one meaning. However, gay used the way you used it is a slur, much as the n-word or other such socially unacceptable words (there's a difference, yes, since in one you are deliberately insulting someone, and in this it is just casual use). If you want to be one who feels comfortable going around saying the n-word, and saying to peeps who take umbrage "Hey, it's your problem, not mine"...then fine. Just realize people may radically redefine their perception of you.
Gay, used pejoratively, is just as much a slur as the n-word, IMO. Am I offended persay by the use of it? Not so much because of it's unfortunate widespread usage. I'm just more surprised that you don't see it in a negative light at all.
EDIT: Wow, 3-4 posts while I was composing this one ><. I can get rid of this if you like.
EDIT2: Looking at the timestamps it seems I hadn't refreshed the page ><. I hadn't read anything since Squeeb's post two hours ago ><
