but really, NLP does collect together a lot of tools that can improve performance in a very narrow, prescriptive manner... so for a lot of people it will work. Like Callan Method language learning.
It's like the huge set of manuals that scientologists are weighed down with... there's actually some good stuff in there, stolen from a huge range of sources. The problems are, as ever, the narrative that holds it together, the organisation that pushes it, the manner it's pushed around, the hype and the money.
Scientology is on another planet to NLP entirely, though... (another gag, see?  )
