I haven't ventured too much outside my "web-clique" box, and I've probably deleted more bookmarks in my folder than I have added, but I just wanted to say that I am now in favor of
Grooveshark.
According to my delicious bookmarks service, I've known and had knowledge of Grooveshark since late April of '08, but it's only been in the past two months that I've tried out its functionality and form for more than 15 minutes at a time. As remarked in
this thread, ever since seeqpod went thru bankruptcy/restructuring, I've sought out a few viable alternatives to the "music search engine" genre that was left empty when the seeqpod ship officially went down 3-5 months ago. It is a great little service that finds even some songs I think are way too obscure, allows me to check what people in droves have been listening to, and allows the familiar playlist creation feature that nearly all successful music/video sites have implemented standard. It even has a "recommended listening" listing like both Youtube and Pandora flaunt, a simple advice service for similar songs to what you are listening to at the moment. If anything at all, this is great alternative/successor to what seeqpod was, save for that whole "hollawalla" widget (it might have something similar, though I doubt it).
Of the 100(+13) websites featured above, which have you recently found out about, loved its usefulness for your puposes, and would fully recommend to your fellow members, friends, & family alike?
