Same here. I've been in the hospitality industry for 14 years and I can honestly say that there is nothing any of you can say that I either haven't seen before or heard of from others in the industry. Even after all this time it still amazes me what some people will do when they think they can get away with it just because they are not at home/paid for the night.
Keep in mind that there is always somebody who has to clean up after you/deal with the issues you cause (noise complaints and whatnot). Just because you paid for the room and don't know the staff doesn't make it any less rude or right.
Sorry if I come off as a bit of a prick. Just finished another day at work where I had to field numerous noise complaints against a youth soccer team that was staying here over the weekend that trashed their rooms and the pool area and ran the halls all night. Not only did it cost us extra in housekeeping to clean the rooms but i also ended up having to refund several other rooms for the problems caused. I also had to let the night security who was on duty go for not handling the situation as it occurred not just the one night but for both nights the team was here. So let's see, the hotel lost money and someone lost their job all because of some 'harmless' fun. Needless to say that team will not be staying with us again or any other hotel in the city. Yes we do inform each other of problem guests so if you get kicked out of one don't be surprised to find yourself on the 'do not rent' list at other properties in the same area.
Well that's my little rant. Oh and as for pulling off the top cover....highly recommened.
