I don't mind when people put them off to the side by islands or structures so they don't roll but leaving them astray in the middle of the parking lot is just downright inconsiderate.
I haven't looked at shopping carts the same since I bought The Stray Shopping Carts Of Eastern North America by Julian Montague.
