I'm single by choice...sort of. When I was in school girls would flirt with me, and I with them, and then after they really started showing interest, I would be the biggest dick possible. I push people away habitually, especially those fucking females. Now that I'm out of school, I have a harder time meeting people, but I absolutely refuse to just walk up and start talking to a woman, and when a woman flirts with me I completely shut down. A bit of polite conversation, then "Fuck you bitch, and the horse you rode in on."
