I'm having a hard time thinking of a recent movie that hit the right tone you're talking about.
Charlie's Angels? Crank? Smokin' Aces? Mission Impossible?
Bleh.
Perhaps The Transporter (1st one only) is a good model but Hollywood doesn't really have a great track record with this kind of thing. It's a different era now. They just don't make films like Roadhouse anymore.
Despite being a huge fan of the TV show as a kid, I'm not especially hungry for this.
On second thought, I am looking forward to the trailer. THAT will be cool!
And probably enough.
On the plus side, maybe Vans could be cool again!
