FSC Cigarettes
i recently started smoking again (winners never quit) and found out cigarettes are now made with fire retardant paper. the idea behind it is so if you fall asleep in bed, your cigarette doesn't burn all the way down to your mattress and cause fires. if you take too long to smoke, the cigarette goes out, and you have to puff-start it back up (yeah, i just invented that term).
So now, not only do cigarettes kill you, they piss you off while they do it.
To make the cigarettes "safe" they add EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) to the paper. Apparently, according to wikipedia, EVA is not normally dangerous but isn't meant for internal consumption and should be: "KEPT AWAY FROM HEAT OR FLAME.".
so now smoking is even MORE bad for your health, if that's possible.
can you legitimately argue that adding a chemical that is bad for you to something that is already bad for you, is wrong?
