I light a candle, turn out the lights, and watch a documentary or a movie while relaxing in a lavendar-scented bubble bath several nights/week. I love baths: excellent way to wind down after a long day.
I have dry skin, so I always have a hotel-sized bottle of scented lotion in my desk, in my car, and in my purse. Not only are they salvation for my dry spots, they're handy in a pinch when I want a little freshening-up.
I've become less picky about my hair over the years. Most shampoos and conditioners work about the same on my hair type. The few times that I have found something that has some wonderful effect, that effect fades after a week or two. After products and styling techniques make the difference.
I always have a hair dryer and a round brush handy, though during warmer months I don't bother to use it. Recently I have been styling my hair into a tidy side part and pulling it back into a bun while it is still wet. Occasionally I'll throw in a tight braid or two. I find I have greater control when working with wet hair and I need to apply less hair spray to keep its shape.
