One of my favorite indie flash developers recently launched two new games. The first is called Frost Bite, which plays like a weird mix of Super Adventure Island and Bionic Commando. The premise is simple: climb the hill while using your grappling gun to ... spear unsuspecting friendly bison in the face and hurl them against your chest until they explode! The other is Skywire - a cable car racer where you'll use physics (surprising for Flash) to navigate your car through a series of obstacles (nothing quite like it, and I'm digging the music). Just another cute and delightful way to make 30 minutes of work day magically disappear.

Frost Bite - Nitrome
A game where the player climbs a mountain as an eskimo named "Eski Moe" with a harpoon gun. He has a similar appearance to Popo from Ice Climber.
You find yourself in a mountainous world with a grappling gun and the goal here is to get to the top of each hill or mountain to progress to the next level.
Each stage is filled with score-increasing items in the form of... ice cream! You can also collect letters that spell "BONUS" to get extra points at the end. The difficulty progresses fairly evenly, although it does take it some time for the stages to become a challenge. Use the first few levels to get used to the walking and grappling mechanic, as you'll need all of your skills towards the end.

Skywire - Nitrome (also referenced in an earlier thread by me:
here)
A game where the player guides a cable-car through a world of giant toy animals.
Skywire 2 is an interesting pixel art style game that puts you in charge of a gondola/cable car full of people that you must assist through a world of enemies to deliver the passengers to the end goal without letting too many fall out.
It’s actually pretty difficult considering the face that you only need two buttons to control the cable car, and the graphics are fantastic in their simplicity, so give it a go and see what you think.
