The sloping angles are pin-cushion distortion from shooting at 16mm (used a 16-35mm f2.8 L lens) - they are pre-process pictures (except the false B&W which is just total desaturation as a test) .. of which the distorted ones will be passed through DXO to correct perspective.
I am generally a snob for details like that - but I -may- end up using the original photo because the inverted pin-cushion effect draws the eye in, sort of encouraging a top-to-bottom scanning of the image. We shall see
