fatboss,
you have to admit at least "old whiskey nose" would give credit where it's due if he hadn't won the league this season. Rafa refuses to acknowledge the man and simply sidesteps the issue with all his excuses of money, stadium size, unfair treatment from refs and injuries; all of which are completely unfounded and most notably *wrong*.
If United didn't have the injuries they had including 2 first squad members out for practically the entire season, the race would have been over long ago. So what? They managed to find a way to still win it. Rafa has spent tons of money in the past 4 years and failed to add any real depth whereas United did, and Rafa is planning on spending more in the spanish market. Him saying that Anfield is a reason that they can't compete is a slap in the face to anyone who supports Liverpool. The place is deafening, and OT is just a bunch of corporates who don't even know the correct names of players. Save the Stretty, it's a tomb. And, my favorite of all excuses is his claim of treatment from the officials.. it's laughable. 'Pool have been the recipient of the fewest reds and the most given to opposition this season.. I fail to see how United won any special treatment.
It's one thing to not like Fergie, but when the man's accomplished what he has, I think he's owed a little respect and also expected to do things his own way. Rafa hasn't earned respect like that and honestly, he should learn that his mouth gets him in far too much trouble.
