Prison Break: Its a 2 season concept.
Smallville: Should have ended after 4 seasons. I mean really, if you found out you can fly, wouldn't you spend every minute of every day trying to fly again?
I have a bit more tolerance for talk shows and sitcoms that go on for a long time, but some dramas need to learn that just because your concept is good, doesn't mean it should be milked until its ratings become poor. Plan a story with a arc set to play out over a set amount of episodes, and be done with it. Then start being creative and invent something new.
