You should see all the activity on Arsenal boards with fans screaming that the BOD should fire Wenger. Shortsighted, in my opinion. His should also shouldn't be in jeopardy. He's doing exactly what the boards wants him to: achieve CL qualification, reach Semis in all competitions, keep on making Arsenal turn profits in order to sell off the stadium.
Arsenal need a ball-winner much more than they need someone to dictate play. Flamini was the biggest loss last season - Whenever Arsenal do get the ball now, they are invariably under pressure, or Cesc is tracking back too far to do anything constructive.
Similarly, Hleb was superb positionally and very accurate passer. He always moved the ball forward, which was priceless: we lack that now. Nasri is not really a replacement for him, since Nasri doesn't have the same ability to link up passes and move the game forward.
That said, I hope they're both happy riding the pine and earning mega-euros at their respective clubs.
