Newcastle may have just avoided relegation with their win yesterday. Have to say it was a pretty good performance by Shearer's men. Hull falls to the bottom 3 on goal difference.
They still have a tough couple of matches in Fulham and Aston Villa left to play, and if United win the league against Arsenal, then they will place a young and weak side against Hull so it's definitely not over yet for Toon Town, but they certainly helped their cause yesterday. The relegation battle is almost better than the title race at this point.
