The year was 1990.
We bought this great little fixer-upper house for fifteen thousand dollars.
Sound roof - solid foundation..etc;
but yikes.
Two weeks before the closing deal date,
we found a pink toilet in good condition, at a garage sale,
for two dollars.
The first thing we tackled after being in our new home,
for less than an hour, was replacing the existing toilet.
Replacing a toilet is not complicated.
A little goop, a gasket, a few bolts, and it's done.
Before:
...you can see a glimpse of the new pink toilet to the left,
as I am ripping out multiple layers of linoleum.
There was beautiful maple flooring beneath all the crud.
