Personally I think Lamps is (in the context of talking about the worlds best) a slightly limited player. You cant argue with his goal scoring record or his instinct for goal, but he doesnt have the class on the ball of the a really top player. He looked ordinary against Barca.
I think you always need someone who holds the shape of the team in the middle, which is why I went for the permed one... and I think Ireland just edges Lamps this season in terms of his performance and what he does for the team.
Nic Anelka is a goalscorer, but I think you'd pick Torres ahead of him also in that position as well as Adebayor (whose name I cant spell). I dont know how Rooney and Drogba would play together... but with Stevie G and Ronaldo playing off and around them to me its a dream partnership.
I also considered big John Carew up front...
