What is different is the direction of causality. A is in B - doesn't mean that every B will become A.

Even then, I'm pretty sure the statement is incorrect. Additionally, the psychological profile of a killer is significantly different from that of someone who may enjoy the same acts but not kill. The connection made is an oversimplification of the psychology behind violent crime.
