With the running, I'm good for 10K no problems, but I'm trying to get faster by doing the walk, jog, sprint, repeat thing. NZ Army thinks you should be able to do 2.4K in 10 minutes or something, which I thought I'd see if I could hit. Anyway, another thread for that.
The quote is from some geezer in the Michael King History of NZ, think it was during the depression in the 30's ... possibly becoming more appropriate daily.
