I have a very strong sense of "home". While I've traveled a great deal around the US, I've lived on a permanent basis within a dozen miles of where I was born. I have deep roots here and would not idly consider cutting them. This in no way implies a parochial viewpoint...my area does have flaws (some quite signifigant), but its merits still have great worth to me.
