The episode where the ER was contaminated with Benzene and evacuated. IIRC Mickey Rooney cameoed on that episode as a Mr. Wizard-type TV personality. I remember Carter, in the cafeteria, using the Diver's Reflex and a bus-tub of icewater to stop a patient's tachycardia and get him breathing again. Great stuff.
Remember the episode they did live? It wasn't all that good an episode, but the technical challenges of it were immense. There was a riot/brawl scene in the middle of it--I remember watching that happen then go to commercial, and just sitting back and marveling at the choreography it must have taken to have that happen live in realtime. And they did it twice, back-to-back, on account of time zones.
The episode where Greene was attacked in the bathroom? And all the "recovery" episodes after that? Wow.
