In the case of the guy above, we were friends who had been intimate. He expressed some insecurity and I told him the truth. He was great.

well other then the bragging ("am I your biggest etc etc") I just didn't thinks guys would ask their partners if they are small or not
just as I said before it's not like they will get the honest answer most of the time
