I strained my back last week, just bending over in a clumsy sort of position, it felt like it knocked the breath out of me. I was afraid it would hurt and limit my mobility for quite a while as it has previously, but what I did was hang from a door frame, grab the overhead frame with my fingertips and just let my body hang and let gravity do its thing. I did that a few times over the next few hours. I'm not sure if that was it or what, but it sure seemed to help, the back pain went away very quickly and has not bothered me at all.
