Maybe you should try spraying the area with a weak mixture of ammonia, then. At the very least, clean it up and hose the area down. As long as it smells like a dog pooped there, more will continue to do so. Dogs are social animals and like community bathrooms. Expect some dogs to continue to do it there by habit even after you clean up, because it's become "their place" to go. That's why the PB works - it gets the repeat offenders.
ps - Many animals eat their own poop - and that of other animals. It won't hurt them, other than their having a disgusted owner. However, if you're worried about peanut allergies, you might want to try honey instead.
