That's actually a timely question for me, highdro. About two weeks ago my older boy's locker in middle school was searched and he was also briefly questioned; some of his friends were questioned more extensively; they didn't find anything in my son's locker or on him so he's in the clear so far; since he's seriously into sports and fitness he's not yet inclinded toward recreational drugs yet, though I realize the risk is there in many ways. A couple of my son's acquaintances are being further investigated for suspicion of bringing pot to school and I heard one kid is being expelled. So right after all that I had a talk with them. So far I'm laying down the law from the point of view that it is absolutely illegal, can get them in big trouble in school and with the police and endanger their future in school, sports, other activities they like, and in some cases it leads kids to get involved in much more serious, harmful drugs...so don't do it until you are an adult and can make the judgement for yourself...if you want to talk about it or need help, I'm here. I'm just too familiar with it so I highly doubt they could possibly smoke or get stoned without me recognizing it.
