I think it would be good to do group exercise, as it's probably far more motivational than flying solo. I'm looking forward to it. The other classes in the series are looking good too. I also want to try BODYCOMBAT and BODYATTACK.

gucci: Thanks for the list. I just might check some of those out. Sometimes the music they play at the gym is too top-40 for me.

Les mills stuff is really good. Bodypump is one of their best known and the good part is that you can make the class as hard as you want. Just DO NOT load up the weight on the bars for your first class. Seriously, i know it seems wimpy, but 5-10 lbs on each side is about all i'd recommend on the first class. The way it is set up is to go to almost fatigue level on each set, about 5 minutes each, and you go from largest bodyparts to smallest. I couldn't move my arms the day after my first class bc i was trying to judge based on people who were about my size. HUGE mistake. The class isnt' really aerobics, though, more of a muscle toning. basically: warmup, quads/squats, chest, biceps, triceps, legs(lunges, etc) shoulders, then core/abs and cooldown. each track is about 3-5 minutes long.
Bodycombat is akin to aerobic kickboxing with a good instructor (most of the les mills programs are choreographed by the company, so instructors are pretty much required to teach exactly what the company wants..which is good if the instructor isn't creative, bad if you have someone who can do and show more) It's fun, but you have to be good in shadowboxing, snapping hte punches, etc, to get a good workout. I see people who kinda wing the punches and you don't work nearly as hard. Just keep it clean and snappy and you'll work your butt off.
Bodyattack is a bootcamp/athletic conditioning style, really good with plyometrics, anaerobic drills and a lot of core work. easily one of the more fun classes at most gyms.
word of advice, though..it takes about 2-3 times before you get comfortable in a class and can follow the instructor w/out looking like like a white boy at a nightclub trying to dance.
Gucci, thanks sooo much for the d&b primer. I mainly have 2-3 sections in an hour that i can use the drum/bass for just plowing it out and killing people. I needed something where you can just let your mind go and just concentrate on almost killing yourself.
Any other recommendation from anyone on songs?
Thanks again
