singing the wrong words
Have you ever sang a favorite song for years, only to later find that you had the words wrong? Especially if the words totally changed the meaning of the song for you?
For so many years, I thought they were singing
"Give me the Beach Boys and free my soul
I wanna get lost in their rock and roll and drift away..."
I thought the singer loved the Beach Boys as much as I do, and sang about them in the chorus. Sad that it took one of my teenager's friends to point out my error while I was singing.
