I've got three books open at the moment:
A Princess of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs (well-written and imaginative, but a little too pulpy for my taste),
Hardboiled & Hard Luck by Banana Yoshimoto (given to me by a friend, pretty good so far-dreamy tone that reminds me of Kafka),
On the Beach by Nevil Shute (just started but I'm pretty sure I'm going to love this).
