I don't care so much about what's out there for easy consumption - the more options the better. But it seems more difficult than ever for a skilled creative individual to make a living.
It's all pretty subjective but I can't help but to notice that something strange is going on when most of the experienced, art degree holding photographers I know have either resigned themselves to shooting weddings or working in another field entirely while plenty of other photographers start up a website, undercut the market and are thriving in no time.
