Yeah, most of it is water weight in the beginning.... if the contestant eats extremely lean but still manages to eat the correct amount of calories so his body doesn't go into fat storage mode than i think it would be okay... Afterall it's really unhealthy when people just try to constantly work out without enough food to burn to offset the muscle burn by burning off fat instead... if that makes any sense....
