It seems....that was simply the right thing to do. If you never try, you have no reason to complain something didn't happen, they tried, got rebuffed, and hopefully just go on with what needs to be done. The Republican party seems uninterested in helping the repair of what we must deal with
(in no small part thanks to them), so they are quickly becoming irrelevant.
