If this is the best we can do then we are in deep shit. Unfortunately both sides are clinging to their pet projects rather than doing what's best for America. The Republicans are clinging to those tax cuts and the Democrats are clinging to expanded government meanwhile the middle class gets pinched.

2- It is not a scare tactic when the economy really is that bad. In terms of jobs lost so far, this recession is already as bad as any recession weve had since the great depression. And if february is anything like january, this will officially become the worst recession since the great depression.
