When I was in community college, a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away..., I decided to join the Marketing Club. It may seem like a strange thing to do, but it was the club that arranged the school parties had the most hot chicks as members, nuff said. We took a field trip to Chicago to tour a national marketing firm, can't recall which one. At one point they puts us all in a conference room and we were able to pose questions to some of the staff. I asked point blank, 'Does your company use subliminal advertising for it's customers campaigns?' I was told flatly that they had a policy against doing that, they did not elaborate. This happened in 1980. Not especially long after the FCC ruling. It is bizarre that no one who spoke to us from the comany said anything about it being illegal.
