To add to the other end of the equation, don't come into a restaurant 5 minutes before closing. NO ONE wants to wait on you, the cooks most likely have everything stored away and cleaned up. The kitchen is ready to shut down and pack it in for the night, not cook another meal for some jerkoff who can't tell time. The servers are trying to get their tables out the door to cashout and do sidework/roll silver, only the closer/bartender is left on duty. If you have to ask "Are you guys still open?/Are you guys still serving food?" go to fucking mcdonald's.

I know it's the WK and he is concise and to the point, but I wanted to hear him rant. I always love hearing other people in the trenches (kitchens) give a shoutout.
